Torega, Vassiliki, Faculty, Mathematics

Dr. Vassiliki Torega holds a B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Patras, an M.Sc. in Applied Mathematics from the National Technical University of Athens, and a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom.

During her doctoral studies, Dr. Torega taught several undergraduate Mathematics courses at the University of Manchester and was awarded the AFHEA qualification in recognition of her professionalism in learning and teaching in higher education. She also contributed to a collaborative initiative involving universities across the United Kingdom aimed at preparing high school students for university admission tests.

Dr. Torega teaches Algebra 2 and Trigonometry at both the Regular and Honors levels, as well as AP Precalculus. Previously, she taught Geometry with Algebraic Topics, Advanced Algebraic Methods, AP Precalculus, and both Regular and Honors levels of Algebra 2 and Trigonometry. In addition to her classroom responsibilities, Dr. Torega also took the role of Mathematics Competition Coach for Grade 2 students.
