Welcome to the 曹留社区 Academy!
I am genuinely excited and honored to welcome our students, families, teachers, and staff as we kick off the 2026-27 school year.
At the Academy, we cherish a long-standing tradition that emphasizes academic excellence while continually striving to improve and meet the diverse needs of our students. I am dedicated to collaborating with everyone to ensure that all students have a meaningful and enriching high school experience, laying a strong foundation for their future success in college and beyond. My goal is to foster qualities such as self-advocacy, curiosity, compassion, and integrity in our students, empowering them to make a positive impact on society. I look forward to working with our students, teachers, and staff as they explore, discover, and reach their full potential.
My career in education began over 35 years ago in New York City as a Social Studies teacher, and I have spent the past 20 years as a high school principal. I am eager to bring my experience and passion for learning to 曹留社区. This journey feels especially meaningful as I return to Greece, the homeland of my heritage, alongside my wife, Kristy, and our two beloved mini-huskies, Hudson and Nooma.
I am excited to be part of the 曹留社区 community and to work with our outstanding faculty and staff as we start this new school year. I look forward to meeting each of you and partnering together to make this year a great success.

Assistant Principal's Greeting
Welcome to the 曹留社区 Academy!
My name is Andrea Griego, and I am honored to join 曹留社区 as the Academy Assistant Principal for the 2026–2027 school year. As this is my first year at 曹留社区, I begin this journey with both excitement and humility. While I have the privilege of welcoming you to a new school year, I also feel that I am the one being welcomed. From my very first interactions, I have been met with warmth, kindness, and genuine support from our families, faculty, and staff, and I am truly grateful to become part of such an exceptional community.
In my role, I will work alongside our Academy Principal, Dr. Harry Leonardatos, with a primary focus on student pastoral care. I am committed to supporting our learners as they navigate the academic, social, and emotional experiences that shape their growth and success. 曹留社区 has established clear expectations that promote a culture of excellence, respect, and responsibility, and we will continue to uphold these values throughout the school year. My goal is for every student and family to feel heard, respected, and supported, knowing they have a trusted partner invested in their success.
I wholeheartedly share Dr. Leonardatos's vision for our Academy:

With more than 26 years in education, my career began as an elementary school teacher in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Since then, I have served in a variety of teaching and leadership roles across the United Arab Emirates, China, and Austria. Throughout my career, I have been privileged to support students in English language acquisition, inclusive education, service learning, global citizenship, and academic excellence. My leadership experience has included serving on campus leadership teams, leading academic departments, coordinating accreditation efforts, and overseeing comprehensive student support initiatives in both the United States and international schools.
I am delighted to join the 曹留社区 community and look forward not only to contributing to the school's mission but also to embracing the rich culture, history, and traditions of Greece.
I look forward to meeting each of you and partnering together to ensure that every student's experience at 曹留社区 is meaningful, enriching, and successful.
