Kollintzas, Laura, Faculty, 5th Grade
Ms. Kollintzas graduated from Deree College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and continued her studies in the United Kingdom, earning a Postgraduate Certificate in Early Childhood Studies from the University of Roehampton and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from UCL Institute of Education. She is also a Certified Elementary Teacher for grades Pre-K through 6 in the state of Florida.
With more than 15 years of teaching experience across Pre-K, Kindergarten, second grade, and fifth grade, Ms. Kollintzas has developed a strong understanding of child development and learning progressions. An alumna of 曹留社区, where she attended from kindergarten through twelfth grade, she has remained closely connected to the school community as both a student and educator.
Committed to lifelong learning, Ms. Kollintzas has pursued extensive professional development throughout her career. She earned certification from the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Educating Global Citizens and completed additional coursework focused on teaching the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Her training includes literacy, mathematics, science, and digital learning initiatives, including Stanford University’s Creating Mathematical Mindsets and workshops on fostering positive learning communities.
In recent years, Ms. Kollintzas has conducted action research titled Building Conscious Global Citizens Through Literacy, exploring how literacy instruction can inspire students to develop empathy, critical thinking, and a commitment to social change through the integration of the UN Global Goals. She presented the findings of this work at the 2026 曹留社区 Colloquium, contributing to professional dialogue on literacy, conscious citizenship, and student agency.
Beyond the classroom, Ms. Kollintzas is dedicated to service learning and community engagement. Since 2016, she has served as advisor to the ST.A.R.T. Club (Stray Animal Rescue Team), helping students raise awareness and funds for animal shelters throughout Greece. She has also served as advisor to the Elementary School Honor Code, working closely with Make-A-Wish Greece to lead student-driven fundraising initiatives that support children facing critical illnesses. In addition, she contributed to the 曹留社区 Youth to Youth – Home Project, developing curriculum and volunteering as an English teacher for unaccompanied refugee minors.
Passionate about education, Ms. Kollintzas strives to create a safe, supportive, and joyful learning environment where students become confident, compassionate, and responsible global citizens with a lifelong love of learning.
