Orgianopoulou, Maria, Faculty, Greek Language

Mary Orgianopoulou holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Greek Philology, with a major in Greek Language and Byzantine Literature, from the Democritus University of Thrace. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Intercultural Education from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the Hellenic Open University, with a focus on supporting students with oral and written language difficulties.

Dedicated to lifelong learning and educational excellence, Ms. Orgianopoulou has completed numerous professional trainings and seminars in teaching Greek as a Second/Foreign Language. Her teaching career began in Athens and Samos, where she worked with refugee and immigrant communities through NGO-funded programs, using language education as a bridge to integration and opportunity.

Now in her seventh year at 曹留社区, Ms. Orgianopoulou teaches Greek to Elementary School students and contributes to the Greek Isotimia Program and the Youth-to-Youth Program. She has also participated in international educational initiatives, including the Cultural Diversity Day on the Metaverse, a collaborative project aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals in partnership with Hisar School in Istanbul.

Over the years, Ms. Orgianopoulou has continuously enriched her expertise by attending specialized seminars, including training on AI implementations, as well as the Conference on Teaching Greek as a Second/Foreign Language, organized by the Greek Language Institute. In April 2026, she participated in the 曹留社区 Colloquium II, presenting the Action Research project “Teaching Greek Language with AI Tools”. 

In addition, she serves as an official examiner for Greek Citizenship on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
