Kechagia Argyropoulou, Katerina, Faculty, English Language and Literature, Literacy Studio Specialist

Ms. Kechagia earned her degree in English Language and Literature from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2009, though her teaching career began in 2005 across various educational institutions and private schools. Driven by strong organizational skills and a passion for creative harmony, she went on to complete a Master’s degree in Cultural Institution Management in 2020. Her extensive background—spanning elementary, middle school, academic track, and adult education—gives her a comprehensive understanding of the diverse nuances across different learner profiles, ages, and proficiency levels. Ms. Kechagia’s educational philosophy is centered on an enduring belief in every student's potential, fueled by her deep passion for literature. She has been part of 曹留社区 Learning Commons Literacy Studio assisting students since 2024. 

This academic year, Ms. Kechagia will serve the goals of the Literacy Studio some of which include to provide targeted support to learners who require extended literacy practice, organise workshops that address the ethical use of AI, assist learners with academic needs as well as to deliver small-group or individual mini-booster lessons in Reading/Writing/Research. 

She will also teach 6th Grade English Language Arts, working in close collaboration with her departmental colleagues. Students will explore a rich variety of literary genres and texts to sharpen their reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary. Beyond foundational skills, the curriculum will inspire students to discover their unique voices as authors. Through collaborative projects, peer feedback, and the practical application of literary tools, students will significantly enhance their communication skills.
